BIOGRAPHY

Born of immigrant parents, pianist Aura Strohschein, pursued her formal education in the United States, France, Germany, Austria, England, and Mallorca, culminating with a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Iowa. These travels allowed her to pursue studies in piano and harpsichord, languages such as French and German, Dalcroze techniques, Suzuki teacher certification, improvisation, and trauma relief through the Center of Mind/Body Medicine.

Dr. Strohschein is also a published author and has presented at national conferences. She is president of her local Music Teacher National Association (East Central Music Teacher Association), and adjudicates. Her contributions to her community were publicly recognized as recipient of the 2015 Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation Distinguished Alumni Award.

Besides running KeyzStudioz, Dr. Strohschein is on faculty at Iowa Wesleyan University and Marion Music Academy. Previously, she has held posts at the Preucil School of Music, Cornell College, and Universalist Unitarian Society. She enjoys working with persons of all ages and all backgrounds and experiences. Dr. Strohschein actively collaborates in performances when not under pandemic restrictions.
